In loving memory of a one-of-a-kind Pekingese, Freddie…
In a world that often spins too fast,
You walked with grace, a love that lasts.
A little lion with a mighty heart,
From the very first day, you set worlds apart.
Freddie, fierce in your gentle way,
A guardian of joy, come what may.
With fur like clouds and eyes so wise,
You held the stars beneath your skies.
That red ball—your sacred thread,
Still rolls forward though you’ve fled.
Not gone, just softly out of sight,
You chase the sun and guard the night.
The love you gave was brave and wide,
You never once stood by the side.
You led with kindness, soft and true,
And every heart you touched still knew.
2019 took your form away,
But your spirit shows up every day.
In laughter, kindness, gentle calls—
In every roll of red rubber balls.
So run, dear Freddie, bold and free,
Through meadows wide, eternity.
Your paws may rest, but never cease,
Your love, your spark, your gift of peace.
Forever one of a kind, forever adored,
A legend in fur, a soul restored.
Though time moves on, our hearts will stall,
For the boy who still keeps the red ball rolling.
