They treated her and checked on her as if she were their own dog. They kept us informed and arranged for her to be transferred to the VCA in Carlsbad, where she spent the night. She's coming home today!! Thank you, everyone, for genuinely caring about your furry patients and their families! We are so grateful.

  I read about Freddie's Place on a San Marcos Facebook page and it lived up to the stellar postings about it. Miss Kitty has allergies and gets itchy this time... read more of year, scratching and chewing herself, and requires a steroid shot. From the time I called on a Saturday morning to ask about coming in, getting good driving directions, through a brief check-in, a short wait (less than 20 minutes without even an appointment since it's walk-in), seeing a courteous vet tech and Dr. Bear who were very kind and professional, checking her out and looking at her "itchies" and explaining the treatment recommended. They also asked (but didn't pressure me) about flea treatment since she doesn't have fleas and is an inside cat. They brought me a reasonable cost estimate to sign off on, and steroid and antibiotic shots later, we were done. She hasn't chewed or scratched since her shots! Thanks to Freddie (and his people) for making this wonderful place possible!
